EcoDrive

Born in Switzerland as a savings program promoted by the Federal Office of Energy, Eco Drive is now internationally recognised as a driving technique that is "ecological, economical and safe". On the one hand, Eco Drive means a correct understanding of driving technique and behaviour; on the other hand, it also pursues the economic aim of saving as much fuel as possible. Following the recommendations of the Eco Drive program saves 10 to 15% of fuel, thus also contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions. Eco Drive driving behaviour also contributes to the spread of a careful and foresighted driving style, with consequent – obvious – positive effects on road safety; the success of this driving technique has led Switzerland to integrate Eco Drive into mandatory driving school programs.
