The patent for the Electric Ferrari has already been registered by the Maranello-based company. The first sightings date back to mid-2024 and have since multiplied; recently, the camouflaged prototype was spotted on roads in Northern Europe for extreme condition testing. The new, highly secretive Ferrari has already covered many kilometers, and now we know when we'll be able to discover it.
Lips will remain sealed until October 9, 2025, when the car will be officially unveiled at Capital Markets Day. Is Ferrari, then, committed to a green transition? "It's more of an 'addition'," clarifies CEO Benedetto Vigna, "we are adding a 100% electric traction car to our internal combustion and hybrid models."
There are no leaks regarding the design and setup of the model. From the circulating prototype, which uses a modified Maserati Levante body, a crossover shape is hypothesized, somewhat in the style of the Purosangue, but with more contained dimensions. What is certain, however, is that the electric Ferrari will be built in Maranello's new e-building, a state-of-the-art facility where, says John Elkann, "we will develop the next generation of Ferraris and the strategic electric components that will make our range even more exclusive."
And to not disappoint those who love the unmistakable roar, Ferrari promises high-efficiency engines, designed and assembled in the Maranello factory, derived from F1 experience, capable of top performance and equipped with an artificial sound to emulate the V12 sound.
A true Ferrari, in short, which also positions itself at the top in terms of price: an estimated cost of 500,000 euros.
