Snow and ice are difficult weather conditions to deal with: grip is minimal and safety is constantly at risk. Such particular conditions require specific skills for smooth, error-free driving. That's why our School offers a snow and ice driving course! The course allows you to gain confidence in this particular road situation, strengthening your ability to maintain control of the car even in the most extreme situations. The next appointment will take us to Passo del Tonale – Altiporto (TN), on Thursday, February 9th.
Our course allows you to learn essential techniques to increase driving safety even for those who drive on less treacherous roads. But, in very difficult weather conditions, it teaches you to "feel" when the car reaches its grip limit and to acquire automatic correction for skids. Have we already said that instinctive reactions are often the wrong ones, sometimes even dangerous? Good. The snow and ice driving course teaches us to react with a "rational instinct," if we can call it that. We know what to do and we do it, without hesitation and without making mistakes.
The course follows a theoretical and practical learning path. It opens with a theoretical session: steering techniques, trajectories, circle, pendulum, oversteer and understeer are some of the topics covered. In the practical section, exercises on the track and on an icy square, both educational and fun: circle / pendulum / braking / drifting.
