The roar of vintage engines returns, between the sea and the historic buildings of the city center. Following the success of previous events, the Apulian capital is preparing to host the ninth edition of the Gran Premio di Bari Re-enactment, scheduled to take place in the city from April 23 to 26, 2026.
It's not just a parade of vintage cars; it's a true journey through time that takes the Apulian capital back to the golden age of motoring, between 1947 and 1956, when the world's greatest drivers competed on a circuit along the city's main streets.
The event – organized as always by the Old Cars Club – is part of the Circuito Tricolore Asi, “with the aim of promoting knowledge and appreciation of territories through historic motoring.” For four days, Bari will host an even richer edition than previous ones, with the presence of prominent figures from the motoring world.
Among the novelties of this edition, and a preview of the "on track" days, is the exclusive exhibition 60 years of history. A circuit in the heart of the city. Set up inside the Teatro Margherita, the exhibition allows visitors to admire vintage cars and motorcycles, along with memorabilia and testimonies of the historic race. The exhibition will be open to the public starting from Thursday, April 16 at 4:00 PM, with free admission.
The mini Grand Prix on Saturday, April 18, will see children compete in a race with wooden pedal cars at the Puglia Village in Molfetta. On Friday, April 24, at 9:00 AM, there will be a meeting at Bari Centrale station for the departure of the historic 1930s train, in collaboration with FS Treni Turistici Italiani.
For those who don't just want to be spectators, from Friday to Sunday it will be possible to experience the thrill of F1 driving thanks to a simulator present in the Gran Premio Village.
Saturday and Sunday will be the heart of the event: the parades and races where historic cars from all over Italy and Europe will retrace the city circuit, bringing their old-world elegance to the city.
An event not only for enthusiasts, but also for families, tourists and the curious. To photograph a rare single-seater or simply to enjoy the spectacle of the city celebrating, the long weekend of April 23-26 is an unmissable event.
