Hand movements

Not only when driving at high speeds: holding your hands correctly on the steering wheel and moving them in a precise sequence is always important. The correct basic position is achieved by placing your hands at 9:15, with your thumbs resting on the spokes. From this position, hands should only move on the steering wheel when absolutely necessary, with precise and never random movements. Unnecessarily moving your hands means losing steering sensitivity, precision, and immediacy in maneuvering. In the city, hand movements cannot be avoided; on the road, they are only necessary when we anticipate steering beyond 170°, i.e., only in the case of a tight turn.
