Anti-glare windshield

A smart windshield that, thanks to sensors and cameras, can filter out light reflections without reducing the driver's visual capacity: this is Active Glare Suppression System, a new Apple patent, for now still on paper and perhaps a reality in the future. Sun glare is a danger to driving safety, causing even serious accidents, and here is the remedy according to the Cupertino company. How does it work? Some sensors collect data on the origin and intensity of light sources, while a camera tracks the driver's eye movements. The information collected activates a panel – positioned on the windshield – made of photochromic liquid crystals, which change their position following the driver's gaze. In this way, glare is "neutralized" and the person behind the wheel will always be able to see the road perfectly. We await developments!
