Load transfer

Load transfer

A stationary vehicle, or one traveling in a straight line at a constant speed, has an optimal weight distribution between the front and rear axles. While driving, any change in speed or direction (acceleration, braking, cornering...) subjects the vehicle to external forces that cause continuous load transfers, i.e., shifts in weight that modify the vehicle's initial balance. Each shift corresponds to a precise movement of the body relative to the wheels (pitch, roll, yaw) and a consequent modification of tire grip, which must be managed consciously. Do you want to delve deeper into these essential notions of vehicle dynamics? Are you interested in techniques for safe driving? Our manual Sicuri al Volante teaches how to best handle every situation behind the wheel. You can find it on Amazon in print version and on Lulu in both eBook and print formats.
