The spotlight is on the most special match of the year! The All Stars F1 Drivers – the F1 drivers' national team – is back on the field for the 29th edition of the World Stars Football Match 2022. The date to circle in red on the calendar is Tuesday, May 24th, on the eve of the Formula One Grand Prix in Monaco.
The National Drivers will challenge the Star Team for the Children in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, honorary president of the association, which in 2022 celebrates the historic milestone of thirty years since its founding and over 100 sports and charity events organized. It will be a great return after three years of absence, due to the Covid 19 pandemic emergency. The proceeds from the match will be used to promote projects in support of disadvantaged children worldwide.
As always, the National Drivers is ready to take to the field. For everyone, the same values that have always distinguished the team apply: helping those in need. Without a steering wheel, how do our players fare? Out of 239 matches played, 122 wins, 87 draws, for a total of 619 goals scored.
This year, too, Vito Popolizio – a team member for almost 20 years – will be on the field alongside the F.1 drivers for the traditional charity match. "I am delighted to contribute to an event that combines competition, spectacle, and commitment. On a personal level, it is a unique opportunity to meet old friends with whom we have shared the adrenaline of the track."
With the World Stars Football Match 2022, the National Drivers will finally return to the field, and they will do so with the same determination and the same values that have always distinguished the team, namely helping others: in fact, €16,156,023 has been raised thanks to 239 matches played, of which 122 won, 87 drawn, and a total of 619 goals scored.
